Setup and usage guide · Riposte runs inside Claude as an MCP connector
What Riposte is
LinkedIn rewards replies made while a post is still moving — the author is
online, the algorithm is watching, and a good comment gets seen. Riposte watches the accounts
that matter to your business, ranks their posts by engagement velocity (weighted
interactions per hour), and drafts replies in your actual voice.
A human always posts. Riposte never touches anyone's LinkedIn account, never
asks for a password, and reads public data only. Drafts are copied and posted by you, as you.
Get connected
Your workspace admin adds a seat for your work email (admins: say add a seat for Jane Doe, jane@company.com in Claude).
Sign in with that work email. Your seat activates itself — nothing installs on your machine.

What happens
1
show me the top posts
First run: a 3-step onboarding card appears
2
Fill the company profile form, or describe your company in chat
Powers relevant discovery
3
Paste 3–8 real comments in the voice step — or interview me to build my voice profile
Every draft is built from these
4
connect my account, linkedin.com/in/YOUR-USERNAME
Enables inbound analytics (who engages back)
Do the voice step properly. Varied, honest samples are the difference between
drafts you post and drafts you rewrite.
The daily routine (~10 minutes)
show me the top posts — cards ranked by velocity, with author photos and post images.
Look for high velocity + a topic you have something real to say about. Filter with the All / Leads / Thought leaders buttons.
Click Draft reply → options in your voice → Copy → paste on LinkedIn. Or Draft top 5 for the whole day in one pass.
Not quite right? make option 2 shorter and end with a question — Claude refines in chat.
Three one-click prompts ship with the connector: Morning engagement run,
Brief me on a lead, and Weekly engagement review. New team members
should start there.
Building the watchlist
Guided discovery (best):find new people we should be tracking — Riposte proposes target companies selling to your buyers, you confirm, and it finds the senior people at them who actually post. The companies are the route; the contacts are the point.
Keyword:find people posting about enterprise AI agents — spam-filtered.
Direct:track linkedin.com/in/username as a thought leader / …as a lead. Contacts are shared with your whole workspace.
Bulk (admins):bulk import these people as leads: + pasted profile URLs (up to 2,000). Background screening tracks active posters and parks silent ones so they never cost anything. show import progress to watch.
Leads are prospects at target companies; thought leaders are big
voices you engage for visibility. The feed filters by either.
Relationships, not reply volume
who's due a touch? — the relationship radar: leads who posted recently that you haven't engaged in 14+ days, never-touched first, grouped by company.
brief me on [name] — the lead brief: their current themes, your full interaction history (including teammates' touches), whether they've engaged your posts, and the best next move — including "not now". Restraint builds authority.
Drafting flags when a teammate already touched the same person or company in the last 7 days, so nobody double-engages.
Voice and quality control
update my voice profile — replace samples any time.
Admins: add "game-changer" and "delve" to our banned phrases — a workspace-wide anti-slop list applied to every draft.
Admins: set our reply guidelines: always reference something specific from the post; max 3 sentences; never open with praise.
Admins can also tune the feed: minimum velocity, max posts per author, feed size, drafts per post.
Knowing it's working
show me the engagement report — per person: comments left, reactions and replies received, conversations started, and response rate.
Top engagers — people commenting on your team's own posts, flagged when not yet tracked: your warmest leads.
show our usage report — activity and spend per seat, the same meter billing uses.
Team management (admins)
add a seat for Jane Doe, jane@company.com — returns invite text; the seat activates when she signs in. Add as admin for admin rights.
deactivate the seat for jane@company.com — access ends instantly, data stays.
set our data budget to 6,000 calls a month — when a budget runs out, live refreshes pause politely (cached data keeps working) until the 1st or a raise.
What Riposte deliberately does not do
Post, like, comment, connect, or send messages on anyone's behalf — humans post, always.
Ask for LinkedIn passwords or read private profiles, DMs, or anything behind a login.
Enumerate a company's full staff — discovery finds people who post; that's the population that matters for engagement.
Glossary
Term
Meaning
Velocity
Weighted engagement (comments ×2, reposts ×3, reactions ×1) per hour since posting — how alive a conversation is right now
Seat
One person: their sign-in, their drafts, and their usage. Voice profiles and the watchlist are workspace-level
Workspace
One company; all data is isolated per workspace
Contact
Anyone on your watchlist — the people you are building relationships with
Lead / Thought leader
The two kinds of contact: a prospect at a target company / a big voice engaged for visibility
Parked
Imported but posted fewer than twice in 90 days — kept on the list, never polled, never costs anything
Response rate
Conversations started ÷ comments found live — the payoff metric
Help and support
Ask Claude anything in-product — what does velocity mean?,
how do voice profiles work? — answers come from Riposte's built-in guides,
so they're authoritative. Anything else:
